Ageing Well
- Tea Dance – will be held in Howden Park Centre from 1.30pm – 4pm on Friday 27 May. The cost is £2.50. For more information, contact Avril on 07768 090 008 or 01506 237950.
- Dementia café – The Café Connect Extra Café, Dedridge, is a meeting place where people who have any form of dementia, and their carers, can come to meet others in a similar situation for support and social contact, a cup of tea or coffee and home baking. Carers on their own are also welcome, as are people with dementia who are able to make their own way there. Come along for the whole session, or just drop in for as long as you like. The café runs on the first Wednesday of every month from 2pm – 3.30pm at Dedridge Baptist Church, Quentin Rise. The next meeting is on 4 May.
- Cedarbank School – is holding a Summer Fayre from 10am – 1pm on Saturday 14 May. Everyone is welcome to come along. Activities will include family fun and games and food and drink, and also stalls such as school enterprise, craft and sweet treats. All funds raised will go towards the school fund.
- St Ninian’s Primary School Parent Council – annual fayre takes place from 10am – 12noon on Saturday 7 May. The event is to raise money to improve the outside areas of the school.
- Put Your West Foot Forward: Join us on our free walks to meet new friends, discover new walks in your area and improve your fitness. Our walks are led by trained walk leaders and last between 30-60 minutes. Come along to Livingston South Railway Station at 7pm (6.45pm for first-timers) on Wednesday 1 June for a mystery walk. - Blether and a book. – If you enjoy discussing books with other book lovers, the Lanthorn reading group might just be the thing for you. This relaxed and friendly group next meets from 5.45pm on Thursday 26 May.
- Bookbug – sessions are fun, free and friendly events open to babies, toddlers and their families to enjoy together. The next session is from 11am on Tuesdays 3 and 17 May.
- Junior Chatterbooks Group – meet once a month to discuss their favourite books. The group is aimed at children aged 8 – 11. The next session is from 6pm on Thursday 19 May.
- Storytime – stories for pre-school-aged children. Spaces are available. The Elmer Day – storytelling and craft session takes place at 10.30am on Saturday 28 May.
