Notice of Public Meeting
Public meetings will be held next month as part of a review of inpatient hospital care for children in NHS Lothian. Patients, families, carers, staff and the public are invited to go along to their local West Lothian events. Details are below.
Meeting 1: Howden Park Centre, Livingston EH17 7JD, Monday 7 March – 6.30pm
Meeting 2: Howden Park Centre, Livingston EH17 7JD, Wednesday 9 March – 2pm
Two events will be held to ensure people who are interested in hospital care for children have their chance to hear about the review and express their views. The views gathered at these meetings will be fed back to the team that is conducting an independent review of inpatient hospital care for children in NHS Lothian before the deadline of March 18th.
Independent Review information
NHS Lothian has asked the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (RCPCH) to conduct an independent expert review of inpatient hospital services for children. The team of experts at the RCPCH is carrying out an extensive and robust analysis of the current service to ensure that NHS Lothian can continue to deliver safe, effective and sustainable patient care. The college has already been gathering views through an online survey and a series of focus groups held with patients, parents and carers.
